What is Acts2 Church?

We are a new church meeting in Saginaw, Michigan.

We believe church should be more than just a place where people gather. The church IS the people! And at Acts2 Church we want people to feel like they are part of a family. That’s why we focus on faith, food, and fellowship with one another.

We believe in Acts chapter 2 people made a connection with God in a real way through the power of the Holy Spirit. We want everyone in our community to experience God’s tangible presence and know Him in such a way. This experience brings radical and real change in our lives.

What Can You Expect at Acts2 Church?

When you visit Acts2 Community Church we want you to have a real encounter with the Living God.

We know checking out churches can be tough. There are so many questions you may have coming in to Acts2 Community Church: What should I wear? Where do I park? Is there something for the kids? What kind of music will there be? And what kind of teaching will I hear? 

Where do I park?

There’s a large parking lot behind the church. We ask that you park there and leave the front few spaces for our handicapped members or those with small children.

What do I wear?

At Acts2 we strive to have a friendly, casual environment where everyone feels welcome and a part of our family. We have a “come as you are” policy, so whether you like to dress up for church or you’re comfortable in jeans and a t-shirt, you’re welcome here. 

Do you have something for kids?

We have an awesome children’s ministry called Acts2 Kids where your kids will have fun learning about Jesus while you’re in service. If you’re dropping your kids off before service, be sure to give yourself a little extra time for the check-in process. We take your kids’ safety very seriously and do full background checks on everyone serving in Acts2 Kids.

What can I expect in the worship service?

Maybe you’ve never been to church or you’ve been in lots of churches and you’re wondering what kind of worship music you’ll encounter at Acts2. Ours tends to be a modern worship style with a full band – drums, bass, guitars, keyboard – and it’s designed to point you to Jesus. What matters most to us is that He is glorified through our worship.

What kind of teaching/preaching will I hear?

Our ultimate goal at Acts2 is to point you toward a relationship with God, so our teaching is focused on taking the deep truths of the Bible and presenting them in a way that makes sense in today’s world. Our messages run approximately 30 minutes.

What else should I know?

You’ll notice people at Acts2 wearing badges each week. These are members of our First Impressions Team and our Prayer Team. These friendly faces are here to help you have the best experience possible, so if you have questions, feel free to ask! And if you need prayer, members of our prayer team will be happy to pray with you.

The Acts2 Difference

We're moving outside the 4 walls of the church.

At Acts2 church we want to foster the feeling of family. Through the use of Life Groups, life-on-life mentoring, and church multiplication, we want to create a unique atmosphere where people belong not to an organization, but to a core group of friends and family.

We have places for the mature Christian, new Christian and the not-quite-yet Christian. And we believe in bringing in those who do not have a spiritual family to be a part of ours, to create a safe and accepting place where people feel wanted and at home.

When our family has all of these groups then Acts2 will thrive!

Acts2 Band

Acts2 Band is a collective of worship leaders and musicians. As a ministry, we exist to lead the church in worship and reach out to our community. We are looking for more drummers, bass players, guitarists, and vocalists to rotate in.

Kids Ministry

Acts2 Kids is an energetic, fun experience for our youngest members where they’ll learn more about a relationship with Jesus and have a blast in the process. Children’s church is for ages 5 – 11, and we have nursery for walkers – 4 year olds.
