First Impressions Director Job Description

FIRST IMPRESSIONS DIRECTOR:

First Impressions is designed to do just that, create a welcoming, inviting, and loving first impression to Acts2 Community Church. If you are excited to be here, if you can shake a hand and say hello, you are desired to be a part of the team that sets the tone for all who come through the doors! We want you to serve with intentions, not out of obligations!

Director

Oversees the relational and organizational side of the First Impressions Team at Acts2 ensuring the guest experience and assimilation process is above and beyond reproach creating an environment of relation and retention.

The director is responsible for:

  • schedule team members
  • communicate timely and regularly with volunteers
  • train team members in greeting, ushering, and security
  • equips the team with materials for distribution during and after service
  • sets up and oversees first impressions table
  • growing the team through constant recruiting
  • ensuring that the greeting process happens effectively and properly every week
  • meet with pastor monthly. “phone or in person”
  • bring team issues, concerns, ideas to pastor
  • oversees offering, count, record, and deposit offering
  • train apprentice to help lead
  • makes sure someone is in place to lead team when away for a Sunday
  • gathers a team huddle at 9:50am to pray and give a word of encouragement  
  • different stations include: Order of importance
      1. one or two greeters at the front door
      2. one at the first impressions table
      3. one security over entire area (also use as greeter)
      4. one usher in sanctuary area

Times

  • Director arrives at 9:40 to set up table and gets ready
  • Service
      1. Team huddle at 9:50am to 10:05
      2. All volunteers arrive at their post at 10:10
      3. Leave post / go to service at 10:40am
      4. Greet as service lets out.
