SUMMARY

The Tech Team Leader is a servant-hearted, team player with a passion for sound, video, lighting, and/or computer media. With a desire to see the service run smoothly, this person has put in the effort to train team members how to operate equipment needed to execute a service. Tech Team Leaders schedule their team in Breeze and continually update them on new equipment or new protocols. They make sure the necessary communication and preparations to run a service have taken place. They are on time and keep a good example of excellence to those he or she is leading.

Below are responsibilities of sound, video, and computer media to oversee:
SOUND TECH SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Demonstrate the ability to be reliable, open, and flexible.
  • Teachable, willing to learn new things, sufficient ability with technology.
  • Maintain your schedule through Breeze.
  • Arrive at 8:30 with worship and band director to get sound system ready.

Sound technician guide line for starting up to closing down:
Start up:
1. Turn on the power strip located under the left side of the table the sound board sits on.
2. Turn on the sound board using the switch located on the back right corner at the bottom.
3. Unplug the router for Wi-Fi to reboot the system.
4. Turn on the mains and the monitors.
5. Turn on the power strip for the front wireless mic receiver and put it on the wall it’s behind.
6. Plug back in the Wi-Fi router
7. Set up cordless lapel mic and other cordless mics.
8. Make sure worship music is playing anytime there isn’t live worship going on.

Closing:
9. Turn off mains and monitors.
10. Turn off the power strip for the front wireless mic receiver and put it behind the wall it’s on.
11. Turn off the sound board.
12. Turn off power strip next to sound board.
13. Cover sound equipment with black cloth
14. Put away cordless lapel mic and other cordless mics.

MEDIA TECH SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Demonstrate the ability to be reliable, open, and flexible.
  2. Teachable, willing to learn new things, sufficient ability with technology.
  3. Maintain your schedule through Breeze.
  4. Arrive at 9:45 to make sure system is ready for 10:30 service.

Check list:

  • Make sure 10-minute countdown is on before service starts.
  • Wake up projector and computer programs.
  • Set up camera and mic for Facebook live.
  • Communicate with pastor and worship leader for specific order of service.
