Acts2 Band Administrator Job Description

SUMMARY

The Worship Band Administrator will work closely with Worship Leader in cultivating worship services and worship teams that help lead our congregation to see God glorified and the power of the Spirit manifest is a key priority for our church.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Work with the Worship Leader to organize and implement the weekly worship service.

2. Schedule musicians and make sure there is a replacement if needed. This includes drums, bass, keys, singers, other song/worship leaders, and guitar players. This is done through Breeze church management system. This is to be done a month in advance. Each member commits to certain Sundays of the month each month for a 6 month commitment. (For example every 2nd and 4th or 1st and 4th or 1st and 3rd, ect…)

3. Work with Worship Leader and Band Director in scheduling those who are in an internship or want to become part of the band. This includes those are inspiring to become worship leaders, band directors, band administrators, song leaders, vocalist, and musicians.

4. Work with Worship Leader to grow the worship team and recruit new members. Schedule auditions with Band Director and Worship Leader.

5. Rotate musicians to make room for those wanting to serve, to raise up teams, and to give musicians a break to avoid burnout.

6. Communication with all scheduled team members the week of to double check and make sure the team has everything they need. This includes making sure the band members have access to the set list on Planning Center. The set list is uploaded to Planning Center by Monday night. Make sure the team has printouts of all the chord charts for that Sunday service. Team communication is essential for unity and organization.

7. Communicate to the team if any changes are made to setlist.

8. Worship Band Administrator and Leader are responsible for detecting any grievance by team members and approaching it in a graceful, tactful, and firm way. If it can not be resolved, then it should be reported to the Senior Pastor.

9. Make sure everyone shows up on time, practice time is well organized, the stage and equipment is ready to go, and everything is prepared to have a successful practice by 8:45.

10. Is supportive of and loyal to the Worship Leader and the church body. Band Administrator shows a servant’s heart with a motive to serve.

11.Help assist the Worship Leader and Senior Pastor with the order of service.

h. Preaching 11:20 to 12:00
i. Worship Team back up for alter song 11:50
j. End of service 12:00
